For this first card I included an Action Wobble to make the flower giggle and jiggle" and i included a little coloring page. Don't most little girls love to color? (I know this big girl does.)
My second card was supposed to be for a boy, but the dear husband came in my room to see what I was doing and informed me that my boy card was "too girly." So I stopped mid-stream and went in another direction. This is what I came up with...probably still too girly, but oh well...

I'm not going to bore you with the details but if there is anything/product I used that you would like to know about just ask.
Now it's your turn.....make a card for a Daddy soldier to send to his little troopers back home, (and hopefully you'll send it and all your other challenge cards in to OWH.) I'm praying that the inlinkz thingy works, I've never posted it before. Link up your card here by midnight Wednesday, Sept 14th (EST) and you just may win a prize, that is in addition to the prize of heart hugs you give yourself for making cards for OWH. Next Saturday is my daughter's wedding so you won't hear from me for a few days but I will draw a winner as soon as I get back and regrouped from the wedding.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend and remember
Make it a good day for someone else and it'll come back to you.
I CAN NOT GET INLINKZ TO WORK. I AM GOING TO ATTEMPT TO PUT IT IN A NEWER POST ALL BY ITSELF. IF YOU DO NOT SEE IT IN THE NEWER POST PLEASE JUST LEAVE ME YOUR LINK IN A COMMENT SO I CAN COME BY AND SEE YOUR ENTRY. I WILL ENTER YOU IN THE DRAWING AS WELL. I'M SO SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE.
Awesome cards Tami!! Love them both and I know some Daddy will LOVE to send these to their children! TFS and have a great...fun...exciting week :)
ReplyDeleteI love both of your cards and am inspired to get out some of the papers and embellishments I have for cards for kids. Like many of us, I suspect, I have lots of items for girly cards and find cards for men and boys more of a challenge. Need to be on the lookout for things for boys, don't I?
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful kid cards! These will be treasured by both the heroes and the kds who receive them. Great challenge,
ReplyDeleteLovely cards Tami. I think the boy card looks like a boy card. :) Love that you used the action wobble for your flower and added the coloring page.
ReplyDeleteThese are BEAUTIFUL. I love them both and the coloring page on the girl card is genius. I think the boys card is PERFECT too! Hugs- Glora
ReplyDeleteWhat great cards! I often hear the same comments from my hubby about a card being too girly lol. At least they're honest. Please check out my blog for my Daddy's Girl card.
ReplyDeleteTami, I couldn't find Inlinkz to put in my card, but your cards are awesome!! What a great challenge! I think I may have to invest in some peachy keen stamps!
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty cards.
ReplyDeleteCouldn't find an inlinkz, so I'll post here. http://kathrynscards.blogspot.com/2011/09/owh-vcmp-16.html

You almost had me stumped because I had a really hard time choosing an image! I'm glad you were able to get Mr. Linky to work. My card is posted there.
