Change of plans

Hey y'all   (and yes, that REALLY is the way we greet people down here, by the way.)
I've had these little place cards made up for almost 4 weeks now.  I intended to post them for a Thanksgiving blog hop I have coming up in a few weeks, but there is a challenge at the Lawnscaping Challenge site (for Lawn Fawn stamps) that I have never participated in and so I decided I would throw my hat in the ring with these.
Originally I had planned to have my daughter hand write the names, (I can't because my handwriting is horrible!) otherwise I would have just printed them out on the computer before I stamped and pieced them, but now I'm debating.  I've never been too impressed with alphabet stamps because of the results I've seen, but Lawn Fawn manufactures their alphabet stamps with special features that insure you get good results as far as your line-up and spacing goes so I really think I want to order some- I just don't know which set to order.  (I'm thinking Sally's ABC's but there's another set I really like too.)   Because I value the opinions of my regular blogging buddies, I would really appreciate some suggestions.  Check out the Lawn Fawn store HERE and tell me which alphabet stamps you think would be the most versatile.

The stamp sets I used to make the place cards are Harvest Season and Turkey Day, and now since I've used these on this post I have to go come up with another project for the hop, so have a good weekend everybody and please come back soon.
Wishing you all sunshine and smiles, love and laughter!

  1. These are perfect! Your coloring is fabulous and I love the layers. Harold's ABC's is my personal fave alpha set, but for these placecards, I like Sally's ABC's - they're more elegant...I'm no help at all! Great cards :)

  2. Hey Tami I think you made a good choice with Sally's AbC's I like them better than the rest. Hugs :)

  3. These are beautiful placecards by the way. I love them.

  4. Hi there Tami! First off, your place cards are adorable. Full of color! Vibrant! As far as the Alpha set, my all time favorite is Harold's ABC's, BUT I think for what you are wanting to do, you may want to go the more elegant route (also Harold's are smaller alpahs) so I would say Sally's is a perfect choice! Elegant. Larger.. You could color inside them if you wanted! I personally own Harold,s Jesse's and Quinn's..... But I do love the latest alpha release, Sally's. Very elgeant! Kelly Marie did a video showcasing the different stamp sets so you can see the size difference, etc... I think if you would watch it, you will have you decision. The link is: - I think she stamps the comparisons towards the end of the video!

Thank you so much for playing in our Lawnscaping challenge this week! :)

  5. Hi Tami!!
These are so awesome!! I love the images you used and your coloring is awesome!!!
I have yet to get any Lawn Fawn stamps and I think you are being an enabler and I am going to have to fold and purchase some....your projects are always too cute with these :)
I love the Sally's but also love the Jessie's (heheh)no really I love them because of the curviness~not a word I know
Anyways whatever you choose will be fab as always!!

  6. These place cards are awesome. So wonderfully colored, and would make a wonderful addition to any holiday table. Great job.

  7. Such nice place cards .... GREAT stamps!

  8. These place cards are so fabulous, Tami! I love the images you used and you colored them perfectly!! Perfect place cards for Thanksgiving :)

  9. Wow!!!!! LOVE all your cards, the coloring is awesome, great colors combination....LOVE this. Thank u for playing at Lawnscaping :)

  10. These are so cute! I looked at the Lawn Fawn alpha sets and I agree with Sally's and I like Smitty's second best. Sally's is cool because it gives you the option to color in the spaces in the letters to coordinate with your design and it's a little more formal looking than the others.

  11. Ahh! Tami, these place cards are soooo adorable! They are very unique and creative, and I think you did such an amazing job with your coloring.
Thank you so much for joining the Lawnscaping Challenge.

  12. Again, another wonderful set of place cards. They are CAS and make a great showcase!!
