Back in the saddle

I haven't made any cards in a couple of weeks so it felt good to make this one. It's for one my friends whose Dad passed away last week. I'm going to wait to send it to her next week-- after the dust has cleared so to speak. You know how it is the days right after the funeral, so much going on and so many people around and then boom! nothingness.
I don't think I've ever made an "inside out" card like this with the pattern of the paper on the inside of the card, and I finally used my MS butterfly border punch that I bought back in Feb. but have never used and I used my new Viva Pearl Pen. So that's 3 "firsts".
While I was making this one I got an idea for another, so back to the craft room I go. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

I just previewed this post and realized that the sentiment on front is crooked. WHY I didn't catch that when I was making it is beyond me, but I will go fix it right now. (I was just too lazy to go fix it and retake the pics....pitiful, I know.)

Wishing you sunshine and smiles, love and laughter.

  2. What an absolutely gorgeous card, Tami! Sympathy cards are the hardest cards to make, I think. You did such a wonderful job with both the outside and inside...your friend will definitely appreciate this. By the way, if that sentiment on the front is crooked, please don't look closely at my projects ;P Have a great weekend!

  5. Wow Tami Great job on your card. I have been ok, sorta, I put my dieting on hold for a little bit. Since i had my trip home I knew I would be eating more. My family loves to eat. Have family cook outs and get togethers when I go home. But I survived. Last time I reported my weight loss I had lost 22 pounds now I am at 26 pounds lost. So still losing a little but more like an even kilt. But they are having another big get together at the end of July and Our yearly (whole) family reunion is Sept. So I need to get cracking and snapping the whip between the 2 events. LOL
so thats what I have been up too. Thanks for asking me and so What about you. What you been up to? Hugsss Victoria :)

  12. Ohhhh, Tami! I just love this card!!! Gorgeous paper and how did you create that lattice square on the front using that MS deep border punch? I have that punch and love it but I want to know how to make a square like that! I just adore the comments you leave on my blog... they are so sweet and sometimes very entertaining! LOL I'm so sorry for not stopping by sooner. As you know things have been a bit hectic the past couple of weeks. I'll try to do better though, I promise!

    Big hugs,
