Stickers

word dies by Simon Says Stamp, scalloped circle die by Spellbinders, embossing folder by The Paper Studio, and glitter sticker purchased at Hobby Lobby

Just trying to use up some random stickers.  This looks really weird on screen, maybe because of all the reflection coming from the card, but it does look better in real life.

Ugly Sweaters

Stamps used: Simon Says Stamps "Ugly Sweater" and a Lawn Fawn set for tiny snowflake
Sentiment printed from computer
I have had a blast with this stamp set by SSS.  My craft desk has about 10 more little ugly sweaters colored, glittered, flocked & just waiting to be put on cards.  (These are pretty tame, but some of the others got really wild.)
I'm entering this in the SSS Wednesday Challenge -Christmas/Holidays

Under the MIstletoe

We had 2 trees taken down this past week & some mistletoe fell out of one of them leading me to want to make this simple, but hopefully sweet card.

Anything Goes Challenge
Spotlight- Lawn Fawn

Nothing makes the mistakes on a card SCREAM like putting them on your blog does.  At least I can sit here and make notes to go back and make the fixes.

I didn't know I'd be posting these when I made them, so I didn't keep up with what stamp sets I used, sorry.

Operation Write Home 4th of July Virtual Card Making Party 2014

  vcmpgraphic
Welcome to the next challenge in the Operation Write Home 4th of July Virtual Card Making Party 2014.  It's Christmas in July, and our theme for this segment of the party is a Red, White & Blue Christmas.  We are aiming for a little earlier deadline for Christmas cards this year at OWH, so now is a good time to "get going" on them.
I wanted to make a card using the little guy above, but could not get it to print, (he came out looking like my printer is almost out of ink & it isn't) so, if anyone would like to give it a try, and use him in a card, I would love to see it and have included the link where to get him.

Here are a few of the cards I've made

Digi-stamp by Dover Publication colored with Copic Markers
other stamps used (holly & sentiment) are by Lawn Fawn and I used a touch of Glossy Accents

Paper Piecing using (retired) stamps and dies by Stampin' Up, The branch is an Impression Obsession die & the embossing folder is by The Paper Studio

Simple Stamping with wet, & a small touch of dry embossing

Sizzix embossing folder, various punches and dies used

Using up some scraps

One last thing before you go get to work on this challenge, inquiring minds want to know, so please comment below & tell me....
when you make a card for someone, do you make it to reflect the recipient's personality or your own personality?

I'm looking so forward to seeing what you create for our Red, White & Blue Christmas challenge.

An InLinkz Link-up

And if you are just joining in the party now, HERE is the link to the master list at Operation Write Home so you can go check out all the other great challenges going on this weekend.

Disney/Pixar Blog Hop

Glad you've made it this far. That Ellen, (aka CardMonkey,) always knocks my socks off with her great projects and is a really tough act to follow.
Here are a few things I'd like to share with you today......

$4 tumbler that I dressed up with vinyl cut outs from the Cricut "Mickey & Friends" and the "Mickey Font" cartridges
windsock / mobile made from Rowlux Illusion Film (see yesterday's post) Cricut "Mickey Font" cartridge was used with the deep blade housing set at 6, pressure at max. and multi-cut 3 times

Inlaid card made from Rowlux Illusion Film.  Mickey head was cut using my Cricut and the stars were die cut with the Big Shot.
I just had to make something using my old homemade "Mickey Head" embossing folder from this post http://tamiscraftconnection.blogspot.com/2011/05/tuesday-tips-mickey-mouse-head.html

I made this for one of the previous Disney hops and it still hangs in my craftroom but.........

Here's an updated version using the Rowlux Illusion Film.  It is so pretty when the light hits it.  There may be several of these on my Christmas tree this year!
And for sticking to the end, here's a little bonus for you fellow Disney lovers- Free Disney font
Well, I hope you've enjoyed today's leg of the month long Disney/Pixar hop. I"m the last stop this week, but wait till you see what's in store for you next Saturday.

ScrapbookPal.com Share Your Project Contest

Spellbinders aren't just for cutting...........
Spellbinder dies used: Classic Rectangles
Stamp set used: "Luv Bunnies" by Stampendous
ScrapbookPal is hosting another contest and this time it's for using Spellbinders.

My card was very simple, yet fun & pretty quick to make and probably doesn't need explanation, but the contest says give instructions, so here goes......

The card is an A2 size (4 1/4" x 5 1/2") so, for the embossed panel I used a piece of 4" x 5 1/4" white cardstock which is just slightly smaller than the card base and I carefully placed the 2 Spellbinders rectangle dies in a "frame" configuration and secured them w/ low tack tape.   Before running it through the Cuttlebug, I used an embossing mat and rather than cut the pieces, I only embossed them leaving a nice frame. The little bunny was stamped on a smaller rectangle which I popped up with dimensional tape.  The small flowers and hearts were fussy cut and glued on the panel using Tombow Multi liquid glue. Copic markers were used for the coloring.

Smile and the world smiles with you
